Welcome...

Welcome to the Hastings Paranormal Team Web site. We are a paranormal group located in historic Hastings Minnesota.

Although our web page does not necessarily reflect it, the team has been busy up to this point. Since the beginning of the year, we have been on a couple investigations which we will post once our clients sign off on them.

The team also has a couple of investigation "Road Trips" in the planning stage for later this year also. Judy is spearheading another Villisca Iowa trip for the team to perform a more focused investigation at the Villisca Ax Murder house. Tim is also planning another field trip for later on this fall. In September of last year, Juli, Erin, Mark, Tim and Tim's sister engaged in a little "road trip" in western Minnesota. While this was not the first one the team decided to go on, it was the best documented one. After some discussion, it was decided that whenever possible the team will try to get on a few of these each year and post the results on the web in a new section designated "Road Trips" The first Road Trip was to a park here in the Twin Cities area. Swede Hollow in St Paul was visited by Erin, Josh and some other family members late last summer. The next Road Trip took place in September at the Birch Coulee Battlefield near Redwood Falls MN.

The team also received a call and email message from a Hastings resident in regard to an unusual phenomenon that they started noticing, which appeared to be more prevalent around their child. Juli and Tim went over to the residence to speak to the homeowners and try and get a better handle on exactly what was going on. While there the team members performed a "Mini" investigation due to their unexpected findings. We are still in the process of providing our clients the evidence and results of this investigation after which we will post the results.

Also, Rich has provided us with a article he submitted for our "Articles" page, about some "Welcome to Minnesota" ghost encounters. Be sure to check it out!

Investigation News...

HPT is awaiting the approval from our clients for an Investigation which the team conducted at a private residence in Hastings in December of 2009. Once our clients grant us the permission, we will post the results.

Road Trips...

In a departure from organized Investigations, HPT has gone on couple of "Road Trips". The first was to an area known as Swede Hollow in St Paul MN. The second, a more organized event took place in September of 2009. The destination this time was Birch Coulee Battlefield, Alexander Ramsey Park, the Birch Coulee Monuments and finally Vicksburg Cemetery, long reported haunted by local residents.

The Villisca Iowa Ax Murder House...

Villisca Iowa was the destination for HPT this past June. This small quiet southwestern Iowa town was the scene of a horrific crime committed on June 10th 1912. During the early morning hours Josiah and Sarah Moore, their children Herman 11, Katherine 9, Boyd 7 and Paul 5 along with two friends who spent the night, Lena Stillinger age 12 and Ina Stillinger age 8 were brutally murdered with an ax. It is thought the brutality of this act has left an indelible mark on the house itself, the only remaining survivor of that night.

In December 2007 Erin traveled down to Villisca at the invitation of I.P.R.A. to be a part of a television taping for WE cable channel. After her return home the team began planning a trip to investigate the house. At the time, little thought was placed on the day we reserved until much later when it was discovered that HPT had reserved it on the anniversary of the murders. As it turned out, team members got more then they expected from the night spent here. And to some, experiences that they will never forget.
