Supplemental Investigation Report
Location: Private Residence, Hastings MN 12/19/09

We arrived at the residence at 21:00 and started setting up, placing infrared video cameras and recorders at all the spots of reported activity.
Andrea and I started our investigation in the child’s bedroom upstairs on the north side of the house. Mark and Tim had hand-held video cameras for documentation. Judy was on the monitors. Andrea held the EMF (electromagnetic field) detector/thermometer.
Andrea didn’t note any anomalous temperature readings, though she did get a few random EMF spikes throughout the room. We tried doing some calling, trying to make contact, with no results. I felt very drawn to the window. We asked that any entity drop the temperature so it would register on the equipment. The temp seemed to vary between 73 and 71, but nothing beyond that.
I sensed 2 young male entities, one blonde, seemed more outgoing and the other, a dark-haired, larger entity, seemed more reticent.
I took out my dowsing rods to try to communicate with them.
I asked, “Is there anyone else in this room with us tonight? If so, please cross these rods for me please?” The rods crossed.
“Are you the only spirit in the room with us tonight? If so, please cross the rods.”
The rods did not cross.
“If there is more than one spirit here, please cross the rods.” The rods crossed.
During this time, the EMF and temp fluctuated wildly.
I said, “I’m going to start counting. Will you please cross the rods when I get to the number of spirits here besides you? Is there one other besides you?” The rods crossed.
“Are you male?” The rods crossed.
“I’m sensing that you’re fairly young. Are you under twenty years old?”
The rods crossed.
“The other spirit here, your companion, is that spirit male too?”
The rods crossed.
Tim asked, “Did you die in this home? If so, could you cross the rods for us?”
The rods did not cross.
Andrea asked, “Did you live in this home?” The rods crossed.
Tim commented at this time that the focus on his camera kept going in and out.
Andrea asked, “Did this used to be your room?” The rods did not cross.
I asked, “Is there sometimes more than two of you here?” The rods crossed.
“I’m sensing the residual energy of many people. Is this someplace that a lot of people or spirits pass through? If so, please cross the rods." The rods swung all the way around and hit me in the chest.
Tim asked, “Did you once work for the church that was close by here but no longer exists? If you did, please cross the rods.” The rods did not cross.
Andrea asked, “Did you work nearby this property?” The rods crossed.
I asked, “Are you ok with the family that now lives here?” The rods crossed.
Tim asked, “Do you want to leave this place?” The rods did not cross.
Andrea asked, “Do you have an attachment to the girl who lives in this room?”
The rods did not cross.
I asked, “Are you always here or do you just come in visitation? If you’re always here, please cross the rods.” The rods did not cross.
Tim asked, “Do you ever leave the room?” The rods crossed.
I asked, “Do you ever hang out in other parts of the house?” The rods crossed.
Tim asked, “Do you ever travel towards the stairway or down the stairs?” The rods did not cross.
I asked, “When you leave this room, do you go out the window here?” The rods crossed.
“I would really like to go back and see if you can change the temperature again for us.
Could you really try? If you think you could do that for us, could you please cross the rods?” The rods crossed.
We tried putting the thermometer on the rug and nothing happened. We tried picking it up and holding it right where I was standing while I communicated with the rods. We asked if they could get it down to 70 degrees. It slowly went down and we asked it to go lower. It went down to 69.4 degrees. As this happened, I got feedback on my recorder, but no EMF spikes.
We thanked the entities and moved to the stairs. Andrea did EMF sweeps along the stairway and didn’t get any unusual readings. Andrea sat on the stairs and did some calling. At one point, Mark and Tim witnessed on the cameras a ball of light going up the stairs and around the corner. We tried to recreate it a number of times, but couldn’t. We captured this footage on both the infrared and the hand-held cameras.
Andrea sat and tried to do some more calling. After a while we decided to try to communicate with whatever was there. I went and sat next to Andrea on the stairs and took out my dowsing rods again. At this point, my recorder picked up what sounded like whispers close to the recorder. Just then, Andrea’s walkie started beeping. I sensed a male a little older than the entity in the bedroom. I also sensed that maybe this male was from an earlier time period than the one in the bedroom.
I said, “I sense a male presence here. If that’s you, could you please cross the rods for me?” The rods crossed.
Andrea asked, “When I was sitting here earlier and making funny faces at the camera, was that you that went over my head and past the stairs?” The rods crossed slowly.
I said, “I’m getting that maybe you’re a farmer. Is that what you do? Please cross the rods for yes.” The rods did not cross.
Andrea asked, “Did you work with the land somehow?” The rods did not cross.
I asked, “Did you work on the railroad?” The rods did not cross.
Andrea asked, “Are you a child? Are you 18 years old or younger?” The rods did not cross.
I sensed he was older so I asked, “Are you 35 years old or older?” The rods did not cross.
I sensed that the entity really didn’t like answering our questions. I asked, “Do you want us to leave? If you want us to leave the stairway and leave you alone, just cross the rods for us and we’ll go.” Nothing happened so we just left the area.
After a short break, we went out to the back porch for a bit to investigate reports of a wreath on the door that swung back and forth on its own out there. As we were getting our jackets on in the kitchen, my recorder picked up what sounded like whispers.
After a few minutes on the porch, we noticed vibrations on the porch as large vehicles drove by and speculated that might be a cause of the wreath moving. We didn’t experience any activity out there.
I was drawn outside, so Andrea and I went out the back door. At the end of the deck, I started to turn to go into the back yard and lost the feeling. I turned around and started back along the side of the house and I picked up on the feeling again. Andrea followed with the EMF detector which was spiking occasionally. She did sweeps around the water meter, air conditioner and all pipes and wires on the house, but got nothing. When we did get spikes, they seemed to move around and lead us to directly under the window of the child’s room we investigated earlier. The readings were strongest just under that window. By that time, Mark had joined us with the hand-held video camera. He wasn’t seeing anything until we reached that window. At that time, he stated that the view through the camera was “foggy” just looking at that window, but no place else.
When we went back inside, Tim, who was watching monitors, said something strange had happened on the monitor just seconds before. He said the motion icon popped u8p on the kitchen camera, but no one was moving in there.
We decided to go back to the stairs briefly to see if we could incite some activity. Andrea took the “Ghost Meter” EMF detector with her to sit on the stairway. I sat with Tim in the kitchen and watched the monitors while Mark went to video Andrea with the hand-held camera. At this time, my recorder picked up more whispering. As we watched the monitors, we noted that there were a couple of blips on the “Ghost Meter” but no other activity.
We ended the investigation and started to pack up equipment. As Andrea and I were taking down the camera in the child’s bedroom, my recorder picked up “Aaarrrrrgh…” right next to the recorder.
