Supplemental Investigation Report
Mississippi Belle

While setting up, I caught a number of whispers... a female whisper in the Banquet Room, a male whisper in the Dining Room and a number of female whispers in the Dining Room.
We started the investigation with Kevin and I in the north basement. I sensed the presence of the short male entity in the dish room that I experienced there in previous investigations. I could not get a response to my questions or challenges though.
We then moved to the small hallway behind the supply room. I sensed a different male presence - tall, thin and very cynical. I told him politely that I just wanted some information from him and perhaps some pictures. He seemed to scoff at me. I then told him that I wasn't just going to leave and that seemed to amuse him. He laughed and called me a "cheeky broad" and seemed to relax. I took several pictures but didn't get any EVP's.
On the other side of the north basement in the hallway with the door to the office, I encountered yet another male presence. I had encountered this particular entity on both previous investigations. He had a medium build and dark hair and seemed quite friendly and gracious. I took out the rods to attempt to communicate with him. I typically ask yes or no questions and ask an entity to cross the rods for a yes answer and separate them for a no answer. The "conversation" went as follows:
"Is there a spirit here with us tonight?"
"Yes."
"Are you male?"
"Yes."
"Did you used to work here?"
"No."
"Did you die a natural death?"
"No."
"Were you killed here?"
"Yes."
"I was told that there was a lot of gambling here long ago. Is that why you were killed?"
"Yes."
"Did you live in Hastings?"
"Yes."
"I'd like to take some pictures.” ” Would you care to be in those pictures?” “Cross the rods if you'd try to manifest for my pictures." The rods crossed. I took 6 pictures. I thanked to entity and asked if he had anything to say or any messages to please say something into the recorder. I didn't get any EVP's.
We then met with several of the team members in the dining room. While we were there conferring, my recorder picked up more whispering in the Dining Room. One that I caught was a male whisper that ended what seemed to be "usss."
Rich, Judy, Andrea and I went down to the south basement. IPRA members were investigating in the wine cellar. I felt the presence of a female entity and overwhelming feelings of confusion and panic. Andrea said she picked up on this as well. Rich and I went past the wine cellar and cooler to a narrow hallway where I felt the presence of a male entity. There was a cold spot at the end of this hallway where when I stepped into it, my head hurt horribly. When I stepped out of that spot, it stopped. I tried this twice and got the same result both times. We then left, not wanting to disturb the other team.
Rich, Judy, Andrea, Kevin and I went to the Banquet Room. I took out the rods to try to communicate with the young female presence I felt there.
"Can you cross the rods for me please?" Rods crossed.
"Did you used to work here when this was the Buckhorn?"
"Yes."
Andrea asked,
"Are you afraid of us?"
"Yes."
At this point, Andrea assured the entity that we were not going to hurt her. I heard a bell clang.
Judy asked,
"Can you point both rods to where you are?" The rods slowly pointed to the northeast corner of the room.
Andrea asked,
"Would you be willing to answer some more questions for us?"
"Yes."
"Were you a waitress when you worked here?"
"No."
"Were you a cook or work in the kitchen?"
"No."
"Were you the owner?"
"No."
"Were you a bartender?"
"No."
At this point, Tim called up the stairs and asked us to continue to feed the energy we were generating up in the Banquet Room with the entity. Jacqui had asked that we all try to raise the energy in the building.
Rich asked,
"Were you a lady of the night?"
"No."
Andrea asked,
"Were you a dishwasher?"
"No."
I asked,
"Were you a chambermaid in the hotel?"
"Yes."
I heard the bell again.
"I'd like to ask you how old you are. When I get to that number, please cross the rods." I counted up slowly from 14. When I got to 17, the rods crossed.
Andrea asked,
"Are you stuck here?"
"No."
"Do you choose to stay here?"
"Yes."
"I'd like to ask you why you choose to stay.” “ When I get to the correct answer, please cross the rods.” “Is it because you're watching over this place?"
"No."
"Are you staying here because there's someone here with you that you don't want to leave alone?"
The left rod stayed still while the right one swung back and forth.
Another bell sound was heard.
"Is it more than one person you're staying for?"
"No."
"Are you staying here to watch over the owners?"
"No."
"Are you staying because you like it here?"
"No.
With clairaudience, I clearly heard the entity say, "She was good to me."
Andrea continues to ask questions.
"Are you staying because this is the only place you've ever known?"
"No."
"When you worked here, did you also live here?"
"Yes."
"Is your name Sarah?"
"No."
Kevin asked,
"Are you still alive?"
"No."
"Are you dead? If you're dead, please cross the rods."
Again, one rod swung back and forth while the other was held still.
Andrea asked,
"Can you leave this room whenever you want to?"
"No."
"Can you sense what happens in other parts of the building?"
"No."
The bell sounded again twice within 4 minutes.
Andrea and I then visited the wince cellar where we both sensed the female presence that seemed upset. Using clairaudience, I heard her crying. We both sensed that she wanted to be left alone. I caught a whisper on my recorder.
Andrea and I then went into the ladies room because of reports we'd heard that people had heard whispers and glimpsed images in the mirror. I got no EVP's on my recorder, but we both smelled perfume and then a musty smell.
Tim then asked if we would accompany he and Josh to the north basement. I took temperature readings at the back of the room along the shelves. The temp read 50.02 degrees near the northeast wall. The middle of the room near the shelf had a temp of 46.6. This is where Tim said he and Josh experienced being touched and seeing lights flash.
Andrea then commented that she felt her hair being tugged. Tim felt someone grab his shirt in the back. With clairvoyance, I saw a short male entity pacing back and forth in front of the shelves. Josh said he saw the same image. I then saw a small blue light flash. Tim said something grabbed his hair. I saw another blue light and Andrea said she saw a shadow out in the other room. While we were talking about this, I felt a tug on my sleeve at the elbow. We all commented that it seemed that most of the activity occurred and the room seemed colder and darker when we stopped talking about the entity in the room. Andrea observed a flash of light outside the room and Josh said he felt as though someone was trying to twist his arm.
Soon after, we broke down the equipment and ended the investigation.
