Investigations...

Tim had an opportunity to visit an old cemetery in the New Orleans LA area this past week. He and other team members had discussed that this area was one high on the teams list of "gotta go" places. After he and another work acquaintance departed from the office on Tuesday, May 27th, they went in search of this prize.

Tim's business associate was willing to accompany him to the cemetery, but did not wish to engage in the actual investigation. With the associate keeping vigil outside of the cemetery, Tim proceeded along with a digital camera and digital recorder in hand.

Though the cemetery was quite small and the investigation quite short, Tim did manage to come away with one personal experience and a couple of other pieces of recorded evidence.

Field Investigation: May 27th, 2008

Time: 2000 - 2030

Location: Cemetery outside Madisonville LA

Weather: Clear Sky, light breeze, and 78 degrees

Members Participating: Tim, Business Associate (Wishes to remain anonymous)

Background Information:

While traveling in the New Orleans Louisiana area for business, Tim was able to arrange for a short investigation to be conducted at a cemetery outside of Madisonville Louisiana. A business associate for the duration of his stay, and who agreed to accompany him on the investigation, to a certain degree, accompanied Tim.

The original destination was a more renowned cemetery in New Orleans, however due to the proximate of the office, our routing was in the other direction of this one. After asking a hotel clerk and very friendly gentleman along the way, Tim and Associate managed to locate a fairly small cemetery on the edge of a town. Tim took a digital recorder and digital camera borrowed from Judy for evidence gathering

Investigation:

Tim and associate arrived at the cemetery about 2000 on Tuesday, May 27 th. A fence enclosed the cemetery with an access gate by the road, which was not secured. The Cemetery boarded other businesses on three sides and was located across the street from some private residences. Tim turned on the recorder and camera and proceeded into the cemetery. His business associate opted not to join him but remained outside of the fence along a walkway.

Tim first proceeded down the center of the cemetery by some large, aboveground crypts that appeared fairly new. As he walked carefully between the crypts, he tried calling and stopping to take an occasional picture. He traversed the cemetery walking between the crypts, some of which appeared to have either collapsed due to age or erosion, and in one case, one that appeared to have been opened, and left in this state.

While walking near the back of the cemetery near a large crypt, Tim spotted movement from the left side. He turned and caught a glimpse of what appeared to be a tall, thin male figure moving opposite of the direction Tim was heading at a distance of about 10ft to his left. It appeared to be a male dressed in a dark blue long sleeved shirt, wearing black pants, which appeared to be too short for him, exposing his white socks. The “entity” also appeared to be wearing brown, mid-ankle shoes. Tim was not able to see anything above the shoulders for this “entity” that was only in sight for a second or two. Shortly after seeing this “entity”, Tim returned to the entrance gate where he was met by his business associate who informed him that she had located a marker of a veteran who had fought in the War of 1812. Tim took a photo of the marker and then departed for the evening. He did not inform his associate of what he saw until after they departed the cemetery.

Tim saw what he believed to be a momentary image of a tall, thin male, a distance of about 10 feet from him moving towards the back of the cemetery away from him. The “entity" was wearing a blue, long sleeved shirt, black pants, which revealed white socks and brown, mid ankle boots. Tim was not able to see anything above the shoulders on the “entity”.

Conclusion...

While some evidence was gathered, it was not of the amount which may be required to consider this location "Haunted". There were not a sufficient number of persons actively engaged in the investigation by which corroboration of experiences could be accomplished.
